Make a Funny Prank Virus

This VBS trick will create a code which will continuously eject all your connected Optical drives. If you put them back in, it will pop them out again! It can be stopped with a PC restart.

Open Notepad and copy and paste this:

Set oWMP = CreateObject(“WMPlayer.OCX.7”)
Set colCDROMs = oWMP.cdromCollection
if colCDROMs.Count >= 1 then
For i = 0 to colCDROMs.Count – 1
For i = 0 to colCDROMs.Count – 1
End If
wscript.sleep 5000

Save it as Virus.vbs or Virus.*vbs and double click on it to open it! Now send it to your friends and watch them puzzle over it!

Matrix Effect

Here’s a quick pro tip for the day! It will let you achieve a pretty cool visual effect inside command prompt, using only code!

Inspired by the movie Matrix, this falling code trick is extremely popular on social networking websites. Copy and paste the code given below in Notepad and save the file as “Matrix.bat” or *.bat.

Upon running the bat file, you will see the “Matrix falling code” effect!

This is the code:

@echo off
color 02
echo %random%%random%%random%%random%%random%%random%%random%%random%
goto tricks

How to Lock a Folder in Windows 8

Actually, this probably works in Windows 7 and XP too.

Do you remember my article on Windows 8 GodMode? I’ve found a way to lock any folder using it!

This method will completely hide the contents of any folder until you use the hidden key to unlock it!

  1. Suppose you have a folder named “abc”.
  2. Open notepad, and type: ren abc GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} (replace abc with the name of your folder)
  3. Now save this text file as loc.bat in the same location as “abc”.
  4. Create another notepad file and type: ren GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} abc (again replacing abc with the name of your folder).
  5. Save this as key.bat in the same location as abc
  6. Now there are two batch files. Double click loc.bat and your folder will change into Control Panel and its contents cannot be viewed .
  7. To open the folder double click key.bat and you get back your original folder.

For extra security, keep the key in a different location. You need to copy it to the folder location before it will work.

How to execute commands without Command Prompt access

Here’s how you can access command prompt on the guest account of a PC, or on a school or work system.

  • Create a new text file on your desktop. Type and save it as cmd.bat
  • Make another new text file. This time, type start followed by the file path of cmd.bat                                                                       (eg. start C:\Users\Owain\Desktop\cmd.bat) and save the file as open.bat
  • Now simply click on open.bat and you have a command prompt. From here you can get access to an administrator account!

Remember, if the network isn’t yours then don’t mess around with it. I take no responsibility for what you do with this knowledge.

N.B. If you just want to make a single command then you can replace cls with whatever you want. Don’t bother about creating open.bat, just open cmd.bat instead. I did it like this to give you full Command Prompt access.
