5 iOS Apps that make you money

I have noticed an increasing amount of apps on the App Store that can earn you real money, whether in the form of Paypal cash or gift cards.

Several of these apps are actually fakes, however I have tried out five and they all work! I have spent several months verifying that they actually pay out, and in that time I have made (physically withdrawn £22. This isn’t much, but it seems like more when I tell you that I did practically nothing at all!

N.B. Some of the following signup links and referral codes are linked to my account. You (should) get some sort of reward for using them, as will I. If you don’t want to do this (why not?!) then by all means click on the titles instead. This will direct you to the app page on itunes.

5. Roamlerdownload (1)

Join here.

This is the best-looking and most user-friendly app on the list. It lets you complete tasks in your local area on behalf of researchers.

Unfortunately, there aren’t too many opportunities to make money, although when there are, they are usually around £5. The fact that there aren’t very many ways to earn money puts this at the bottom of my list.

4. Mobile Rewardsa72c6___Mobile-Rewards

Signup here.

This app lets you watch videos, complete offers and surveys to earn credits which can be exchanged for paypal cash (N.B. I haven’t tested the withdrawal system on this one yet!).

It is very easy to use, BUT there aren’t very many offers. Videos are the best way to earn credits. There are between three and ten videos to watch every day, meaning you can earn about £10 in six months purely from videos. Not very economical. Only fourth on my list.

3. Survey.comimages (1)

Signup in App.

This app is simple: You complete very (!) short surveys to earn money. 5 cents a survey, which takes thirty seconds. You can then withdraw this to Paypal, which worked properly for me.

There could be more surveys, more regularly, which is why I put this third on my list.

(I would advise you to lie about your job, background and interests: Tick everything, as you get more surveys!)

ip4-v25-splash-appxpert-02-thumb-350x503-1068802. AppXpert

To sign up for this one, you need to go to the webapp at http://www.appxpert.co.uk/ on your iDevice and add it to your homescreen. Awkward, I know.

This app is brilliant! It tells you to download an app, open it and answer about five questions. Then you get 20p. Simple! There are maybe 3 investigations a week, which allows you to make the £5 withdrawal amount pretty quickly!

hqdefault1. JunoWallet+ TV

Get the app here, and make an account. Use this referral code for a possible 50p bonus (not sure if they still do this): OB2271027

This app is simply the best on the list. I managed to get a £10 iTunes voucher simply from two months of use!

This app will let you watch videos, complete offers, mystery deals, do surveys, download apps, watch “TV” – anything!

I would advise you to watch the mystery videos – you get decent rewards every day!

iOS 7 Security Flaw

Here’s a (relatively) major security flaw in the new Apple operating system, iOS7. This poses a problem on iPhones 4S and upwards and some iPads. It allows anyone to access contact details and send photos without knowing the passcode to the iDevice.

First, turn the iPhone on and open the control center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Now launch the clock app. Pressing the power button at the top of the iPhone brings up the option to power off the device. Press cancel rather than sliding to power off, then immediately tap the home button twice to bring up the iOS 7 multitasking interface.

From there, you can see recently used apps, kill apps and, most worryingly, open the camera app. From here you can click the icon at the bottom left to see the camera roll. You can then share them via email, iMessage, Facebook, Twitter and so on. Also, by doing this you can see details about the phone owner’s contacts, including phone numbers, email addresses and birthdays.

Great job Apple!
